Foo Fighters, Post Malone, & Miley Cyrus To Headline Lollapalooza 2021

Foo Fighters, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, and Tyler, the Creator are set to headline the Lollapalooza Festival that will take place July 29 to August 1 at Grant Park in Chicago.

Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Roddy Ricch, Marshmello, Illennium, Journey, Limp Bizkit and Modest Mouse are among several other musicians named in the star-studded list released by the organizers of the festival on Wednesday (May 19).

Overall, more than 165 bands will perform on eight stages during the event.

On Tuesday, the organizers had announced that the event would return to full capacity this year, which marks the festival’s 30th anniversary.

“Here in Chicago, the word ‘Lollapalooza’ has always been synonymous with summer, great music and four days of unforgettable fun-which made last year’s decision to postpone it all the more difficult,” Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot said in press release. “Armed with a vaccine that is safe, effective and widely available, we are able to bring back one of our city’s most iconic summer music festivals.”

“I want to thank the Lollapalooza team for working closely with the City to create a reopening strategy that prioritizes safety and can’t wait to see festivalgoers return to Grant Park this summer,” she added.

A video shared by Lightfoot shows Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl saying, “What’s up, Chicago? I’ll see you this summer with my good friends, the Foo Fighters.”
