Normani Drops New Single '1:59' Featuring Gunna

Normani recently dropped a new single, "1:59," featuring rapper Gunna.

"Back on that vibe again / It's hard to fight again / Sh*t, we can't hide again / When I get you alone / Boy, what you gon' do with it?" Normani sings.

Gunna appears in the second verse, rapping, "F**k it, we made love to tunes, f**kin' shrooms / Lock you to the bed, don't let you move / Baby, help me heal the pain."

"1:59" is Normani's first single in two years, following 2022's "Fair." The song was produced by Tommy Brown.

The track is also the lead single from the singer's upcoming solo debut album, Dopamine, set to drop on June 14 on RCA Records.

In February, Normani had announced Dopamine and teased the album's cover.

Florence + The Machine To Perform 'Lungs' In Full At BBC Proms

Florence + The Machine have announced they will give a special performance of their debut album, Lungs, in celebration of the record's 15th anniversary.

The concert, titled "Symphony of Lungs," will take place on September 11th at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the BBC Proms classical music festival and will be aired live on BBC Radio 3.

The performance will also be recorded and broadcast later on BBC Radio 1, BBC TWO, and BBC iPlayer.

Florence Welch will perform the album in full, with backup support from Jules Buckley and his Orchestra.

"This album was such a patchwork of a period of time of my messy teenage years and early twenties," Welch said of the upcoming anniversary show in a press release. "I had no idea what I was doing or where it would go, and a lot of the songs are simply an exhalation of joy. But that's really where the sound of Florence + The Machine was born. So, to have it still be so present in people's hearts 15 years later and to be invited to play through it orchestrally at the BBC Proms is such an honour."

Welch announced the concert in a new interview with British Vogue.

"When [the invitation] came in, they were like, 'We know you're off, but would you.?' and I was like, 'Yes!'," Welch said. "The background to life in my house is classical music, and especially the more obscure things. So it's a really exciting thing to be asked to do - the Proms is just so special."

The eight-week BBC Proms festival, which is billed as the world's largest classical music festival, offers 90 concerts running from July 19th to September 14th.

Usher, Babyface To Be Honored At The Apollo's Annual Spring Benefit

Usher and Babyface will be honored at The Apollo's 90th anniversary Spring Benefit, to be held in Harlem in Upper Manhattan on June 11.

Babyface, one of the most celebrated creative forces in music history, will be honored with the inaugural Legacy Award and inducted into The Apollo Walk of Fame.

Multi-platinum, global superstar Usher will be honored with the Icon Award.

The evening tops off with special appearances by Big Daddy Kane and musical direction by Adam Blackstone. The Apollo Theater said more details about the event will be announced later.

Proceeds from the Spring Benefit support The Apollo's performing arts, education and community initiatives.

The Spring Benefit, The Apollo's signature fundraiser, is a spectacular celebration of the Theater's rich legacy and its commitment to its future as a mission-led arts and cultural organization, a community anchor and an economic driver for Harlem and New York City.

Kim Petras Cancels Summer 2024 Festival Appearances Due To 'Health Issues'

Kim Petras has canceled her upcoming festival appearances this summer due to unspecified health concerns.

"I'm devastated to be writing this but I'm going through some health issues and under medical advice I have had to make the hard decision to not perform at festivals this summer," the pop star wrote on social media. "I love u so much and I'll make it up to you and be back better than ever very soon."

Petras was scheduled to perform at LadyLand Music Fest in June this year, with additional shows at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Mighty Hoopla, and Capitol Hill Block Party.

"We are really sad to learn that Kim Petras won't be able to perform at this year's edition of Primavera Sound Barcelona. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope to welcome her soon to our festival," the fest wrote in a caption with a repost of her message.

In September, Petras dropped her French-pop album Problematique via Repbulic / Amigo Records.
