GLAAD CEO swears by this 'controversial' career move

Working hard is often espoused as the core for progressing your career, but what if taking a break could actually give you a boost?
It might sound counterintuitive, but GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis told CNBC "Make It" that her sabbatical allowed both her and her team to progress in ways they might not have been able to without it.
Ellis has been the president of advocacy group GLAAD since 2014. After seven years in the role, she decided to take a three-month sabbatical.
"It was the best three months of my career," Ellis said. "It completely changed how I approach my work, how my team approach their work, and it made us way better at what we do."
